While the RBI has requested everyone to exchange these notes by September 30, 2023, it’s important to note that Rs 2,000 notes will continue to be legal tender.
Many memes have emerged, business articles depicting people bidding farewell to these notes with phrases like ‘RIP Rs 2000’.
